This past week!

Can't believe a week has gone by since I last posted. Time just flys by. I have been busy with kids, homework, designing some new templates ..like this one A couple of cute raggedy templates too... like this one I am also sewing up some raggedy dolls, and doing some hand stitchery. I am loving the hand stitching. I always find it relaxing. When I have it finished I will take a picture to share. Till next time, Colleen

Last Snowman of the year! ( I hope!!)

Well, instead of working on a new raggedy doll I have been working on, I went outside with my kids and together we made a snowman. I am really hoping this will be our last snowman, but living in northcentral Wisconsin it might not be. It's a warm day here - 43 degrees or so , so the snow was great for rolling snowballs and just having fun together. Look at all the dirty snow in the background. When it starts to melt away it is always so yucky looking. A good rain would be nice but I think they are calling for cold again next week so it would be more snow not rain. After a couple of hours of outside fun, I surrendered to the house. A cup of tea hit the spot! The kids stayed out for more. Now maybe I will stuff dollys arms and legs .......... Till next time Colleen

Vintage handkerchief and what to do with them?

Wow! I have not been able to post in over a week. Been busy , but also have not been feeling the best. I have been cleaning my craft room and will have before and after pictures soon. I am almost done. YEAH!!! I did find these vintage handkerchiefs from a friend of mine. I just love the colors and how dantiy they look... I am just not sure what to do with them. If any one has any ideals I would love for you to leave me a comment. They are just so pretty!! I did do another template for Ebay. Its my favorite one yet.... The funny thing each new one I do is my favorite one! At least when I am not feeling so wonderful I can still work on my templates. That's just alittle of what I have been up to these days. What's in the Jar?

One of my friends, Annie was talking about how she was going to take a jar and fill it with chores to do. I think she called it "chore a day" jar. I have been thinking about that and I think I like the ideal for myself too. Thank you Annie!I will call my jar *The to do list* So here is my jar...... I started listing some chores that I know of right away and I am sure I will add some more as time goes. Some chores might take me more then a day. My first *to do* is my craft room. It is a small room and I really need to clean and organize it up. I tried to work on some valentine crafts but it was no fun at all because of the mess in that room. I did take some before pictures and will take after pictures and make a post of it when it is all done. I think doing something like the jar will help me keep to the task, I am the type that does alittle of this and that and never get anything finished somedays. Does anyone know what I am talking about? LOL If you have any other ideals that work for you I would love to hear about them. Well thats it for now......until next time.

Fabric and pattern

I went shopping all by myself and went to one of my favorite stores The Cutting Edge. I hardly ever get to go it alone these days and I really don't like taking my 5 year old with me. This is the kind of store you go and enjoy the fabrics, patterns, yarns............ There are so many fabrics I would love to come home with , so many patterns to try someday. I found a the vintage fabric fat quaters there and the pattern I just love the vintage fabric, and there was much more I wanted to come home with. Guess I will have to go back when I find some extra cash. The red heart fabric I picked up at Wally World. I loved it and not sure what I will make with it yet but I will let you know. The pattern is a cute apron for girls...I been wanting to make some aprons. I will start with one for Erika and go from there. Maybe make a few extra and list them on Ebay too!! Other then that it is a quiet weekend here. Cold outside, warm in the house.

A new start for the New Year

Welcome to 2009! I had a very nice Christmas and new year and I hope you all did to. When you start a new year , you make resolutions for the new year. I plan to make a few but I seem to break a few after awhile but I keep trying! This year I hope to get more organized with my house, crafts, computer........ and the list goes on. My craft room need a major clean out and redo NOW!!! If I get that done I will be so happy. If I was not so embarassed by that room I would show you before and after pictures but I think I will just show after ones. I would like to get into the routine of workout 5 times a week. I use to walk and stopped about 4 years ago and I am missing it and the lbs have been creeping up on me. I won't let myself feel bad if I fall behind , I will just keep trying all year long. I also want to keep working on templates and banners for the new year. I did these two new templates last week. I have them listed on Ebay right now. This is a cute pink raggedy ann one , perfect for valentines or anyone who loves pink...
