Summer Days

The summer is flying by. We have been getting alot of rain this July. But last week we had a few sunny days and the kids did our annual cement block for the summer. Here we are mixing it... Don't you like the swim mask Erika is wearing. Makes her look like a mad scientist at work... Then mom poured it into the form and the kids smoothed it all out... And then the fun begins...decorating it up. We used beads, glass tiles, letter beads It is fun just to watch them pick out the right bead and put it in Here is the finished project still wet And here it is all dry..I have to do a little creative painting on Andrew's name. There was only one R and Erika used it first so we used a P and now Mom has to do a little painting. :) These are the blocks we did in 2007, 2008. We missed making one last year. We are enjoying summer! Colleen
