New dolls

I have been having fun sewing and finished up some dolls... will start listing them on etsy today.

These are my favorite dolls to make lately but I am doing up a new doll pattern and I can't wait to show you. It is always fun to try something new.
Summer is winding down and we are getting ready for school to start Sept 1st.

I hope I have everything they need. We still need to label everything and I think one of the kids still needs gym shoes. Hope to finish it all up this weekend. Sometimes I wish that I could home school them but I know that I just could not do it. I stress and worry enough already!! :)

Keeping busy with garden, dolls,flowers and kiddo's

The garden has been keeping me busy , weeding, enjoying the fresh food, and canning these... I have been sewing up some dolls and hope to finish then sunday or monday.. The kids are enjoying the last couple of weeks of summer vacation. Have not done the school supplies shopping yet. I really dread doing it each year. You have this list of items and it just gets more each year it seems. So many color notebooks and folders, loose leaf paper, pens, pencils, markers, rulers , .... the money adds up fast, if you know what I mean. Someone left me a comment saying the sunflower background was not working and I checked it out and it is working for me. Not sure maybe it is there blog but I checked it out and know that it is working for anyone who wants it . It is back in my older post. Someday I plan to have a link to all backgrounds and buttons.....when I find a free minute or too!! :) I will leave you with a few of my flowers and a cute dragon fly that has been hanging out in our backyard for the last month or so.that

I received my package from The Craft Cabin Home. I won her 100 follower giveaway. I was so surprised to win and then the package came and what a wonderful giveaway Doris had. I love it!! Thank you Doris for having such a wonderful giveaway!! Please go check out Doris blog and all her wonderful items. I have been sewing on some dolls and the other night I decided to finish this candle mat that I have stopped and started so many times. I finished it but after sewing it I notice that there is a small tare in the muslin So I guess this candle mat is mine.... :) I needed a new one anyways! Hope you all enjoy the weekend. Colleen

Finally some new dolls

Hello everyone! I am finally back to sewing a little and here are two new dolls that I finished.

I do have 2 other dolls finished but no pictures to share. Andrew turned 8 on the 10th of July and had a wonderful birthday His two favorite colors are pink and green, so I had pink flowers on it which he thought was wonderful!!  So my days are flying by with the kids home for summer. I hope to keep working on fall items each day. Going to be a hot week ahead. Just trying to stay cool. Colleen

Summer, and a new simple background

Summer has finally come here.... not much creating going on. The kids keep things busy around here, and we are trying to enjoy the the good weather when we can. I did finish some dolls and hope to have pictures soon. Just pictures to share....

A different kind of creating has been going on around here....flowers, garden

These are flower seeds that Andrew wanted to plant. He checks on them everyday. I hope they keep growing and growing.. The garden, not much happening there yet , except for the weeds...lol My blackberries....I can't wait to have one!

I think the white blossoms are so pretty.

When I have not been working on that there is the day today stuff like laundry... Just one load today. But when I find a little time to sit, if the weather is nice this is my favorite place to sit and unwind....

Finally, I did get some sewing done the last couple of days.... And one last thing, I hate to ask for myself but if you could would you send a prayer or two my way. I went in for a yearly test yesterday and they called this morning to have me come back for some more testing. I am trying not to worry much about it, because worry does no good. I read this somewhere and this is what I am trying to do "Pray, Don't Worry". I think it is good advice. Hugs Colleen

I hope you all are enjoying this Memorial weekend. Hope the weather is good and if you are traveling that you travels are safe. I am spending it with all of my kids, and my granddaughter Rachel. I can't wait to see her! Here is a picture of my Mom's apple blossom tree. It is so pretty right now. Some of Mom's flowers in bloom... I did get some stars sewn up this week, just no pictures of them yet. And one of the best parts of the past week was the package I received from Cyndy over at Crafty Stitchers blog. I won her giveaway and I am so happy I did. This is my first bag holder and she is wonderful. Cyndy sews beautiful and her doll is so cute. Thank you Cyndy for having such a wonderful giveaway!!!

I have been missing lately from the computer. I have tried to keep up with all my favorite blogs but not much time for blogging. So if you wondering what I have been up to, well I have been spring cleaning the whole house and then I decided to have a garage sale. Garage sales are so much work!! But I love all the people that come. I have not been creating much but I have been wanting to post my winning from Prims and Annies I just love her! She is so cute. I love her ladybug dress. Go check out Prims and Annies! I am back to crafting again so hope to have something to share soon. Colleen

I had a wonderful Sunday. We celebrated my youngest son Andrew's 1st communion. I am so proud of him I love this picture.. waiting so hard at times.... Picture time So happy to receive Jesus... My kids... Afterwards it was time spent with family over food and cake. We had Andrew's cake and we also celebrated Erika's 11th birthday a day early with ice cream cake. I have not been crafting much the last couple of weeks. I am trying to spring clean my house. I hope to get back crafting soon. Colleen
